Welcome to Madrid! When you arrive at the airport, we’ll be waiting to take you to your hotel. You can enjoy some free time until your tour begins. Please check the information boards in the hotel lobby, which contain all the details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers. At the end of the day, we provide transportation to Plaza Mayor and La Latina: Madrid’s most famous area for nightlife and tapas restaurants, where you can have dinner at your favorite restaurant—Indian, Chinese, Spanish, or Middle Eastern. Options are available.

The morning begins with a comprehensive tour of central Madrid, including the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and Plaza Mayor. We’ll then visit Retiro Park, an oasis in the heart of the city, where we’ll see the lake and the Crystal Palace. The tour includes admission to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, considered by many to be the best soccer club in the world. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. We’ll return to the hotel in the late evening.

We’ll leave Madrid early in the morning, heading south through the La Mancha region. Our first stop will be in Puerto Lápice, a charming Manchegan village that brings to mind Don Quixote. From there, we’ll continue our journey to Andalusia via the Despeñaperros Pass, arriving in Granada where lunch will be included. In the afternoon, if you’ve chosen the option that includes a visit to the Alhambra, we’ll take a guided tour with a local guide to explore the magnificent Alhambra and the beautiful Generalife Gardens, both built during the Arab period and showcasing stunning Islamic architecture. Very Important Note: The number of visitors allowed into the Alhambra is strictly regulated by law. To guarantee your entry, tickets will be issued upon confirmation of your tour booking. It is essential to provide accurate personal details (full name and passport or ID number) at the time of booking. Please note that ticket costs are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. In the rare event that a visit to the Alhambra is not possible, we will instead take a tour of the Royal Alcázar in Seville, which holds similar historical and architectural significance.

Granada–Nirja–Malaga–Ronda–Seville (Tuesday)

Today we’ll enjoy the stunning scenery as we leave the Sierra Nevada mountain range behind. Next, we’ll continue our journey along the Mediterranean coast, known as the Tropical Coast, where the year-round mild climate allows for the cultivation of tropical fruits such as guava, mango, and avocado; in the past, the region was also famous for sugarcane cultivation. We stop in Nerja, a charming coastal town famous for its stunning rocky cliffs. Afterward, we continue our journey to Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol, a vibrant city distinguished by its beautiful historic center. There will be time for lunch and to stroll through the city center. Next, we head to the Andalusian Sierras to reach Ronda, a charming white town famous for its majestic deep gorge that divides the town in two and gives it a spectacular, dramatic view. We continue our journey to Seville, where we arrive in the late afternoon. Dinner will be provided at the hotel.

In the morning, we’ll set out on a tour of Seville, where we’ll visit the famous cathedral and the Giralda, We’ll stroll along the banks of the Guadalquivir River and explore the lively, traditional neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. After the tour, you’ll enjoy a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River, which offers magnificent panoramic views of the city (included in the program). In the evening, you’ll have the option to attend a traditional flamenco show (tablao flamenco) to enjoy authentic Andalusian art.

Seville–Córdoba–Consuegra–Madrid (Thursday)

We’ll leave Seville and head through the Guadalquivir Valley to Córdoba, a city famous for its history as the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate during the Islamic era. Accompanied by a local guide, we’ll visit the stunning Mosque-Cathedral (tickets included) and also explore the charming Jewish Quarter, known for its narrow streets and flower-filled courtyards, which are true symbols of the city. After lunch, we head toward the Castilian lands, with a stop in Consuegra, where 12 massive windmills stand alongside the castle overlooking the plains of La Mancha. We’ll visit the Rucio Mill before heading to Madrid at the end of the day.
